Director, Marine Operations
Position requires 10 years combined Shipboard experience as Deck officer, preferred as Captain or 10 years combined Shore side experience in Director of Marine Ops, a Nautical or Marine Engineering degree is required; Certified Class 1 Captain preferred. Responsible to ensure safe, economical and reliable marine operation of the company ships. Operational contact with the ships in nautical and marine matters. Shipboard training and development Shipboard safety matters. Candidate must be detail oriented, possess excellent analytical, organizational and English verbal/written communication skills. Must also be able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked dynamic environment, and be highly proficient in Microsoft office. You must be able to work a flexible schedule possibly including evenings, weekends and holidays, and able to and comfortable with domestic/international travel, up to 35%.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring safe marine operation and a safe working environment on all ships.
Ensuring proper liaison with ship Master and flag state, port state and other authorities with respect to ships trading certificates as list in AMOS, and in marine safety matters.
Take part in Human Resources related issues for the Onboard Deck Departments, regarding promotions, appointments and annually appraise Senior Deck officers.
In charge of Navigational Policies and Bridge procedures to ensure correct and safe operation of the company fleet.
Responsible for LSA, Fire Fighting, Damage Control and Evacuation standards of policies, plans and procedures on all vessels.
Visiting their assigned ships to monitor compliance, in all ship departments, with the Safety Management System.
Represent the company at industry forums, working committees and conferences relating to operational safety and emergency readiness.
Process owner of the company’s shoreside emergency response and preparedness to a shipboard incident, including planning and execution of drills. Including development of appropriate plans and oversight of the emergency response room and associated facilities.
Reservations Manager
Position requires a minimum of five years’ call center management experience in the luxury sector of the hospitality industry; preferably in the cruise industry. This individual will motivate the cruise sales consultants to maintain phone service levels at company standards, meeting Seabourn’s sales goals and maintaining a consistently high level of customer service and quality assurance. Additional duties include, but not limited to, implementing policies and procedures, conducting staff performance evaluations, coaching, scheduling and hiring, as well as new hire and recurrent training. The successful candidate will also be responsible for budget planning, processing passenger manifests, call volume forecasting and providing daily/weekly phone statistics. The team member should be a self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgment and resourcefulness in decision-making and problem solving. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical and organizational skills, and be able to multi-task and perform well under pressure in a in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and English verbal/written communication skills are a must. The individual must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Hyperion/Brio. Knowledge of Kronos, and Lucent and/or other call center systems required; NVS preferred. You must be able to work a flexible schedule possibly including evenings, weekends and holidays, and able to and comfortable with domestic/international travel. High School diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred.
Land Concierge Coordinator
Position requires a minimum of two years’ experience in the Cruise/Travel Industry; reservations/call center/customer service experience preferred. The primary responsibility is to handle special or customized travel requests and solve issues dealing with transfers, hotel packages, shore excursions and journey or extension programs. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, possess excellent analytical and organizational skills, and be able to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and English verbal/written communication skills are a must. The successful individual must be a self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgment and resourcefulness in decision-making and problem solving, as well as be able to think and work independently. The PC literate individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular. High School diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred. You must be able to work a flexible schedule possibly including evenings, weekends and holidays, and able to and comfortable with domestic/international travel.
Responsibilities include:
Processing hotel and transfer requests.
Producing accurate rooming lists and flight/transfer manifests for each turnaround and update as necessary.
Assisting in the maintenance of hotel inventory, requesting additional space when needed and clearing wait-lists.
Providing service to internal and external customers by answering questions from reservations, guests and travel agents.
Maintaining accurate files and records of all transactions.
Fulfilling supply requests from ground operators (hospitality desk signs, signs for airport meet and greet, etc.)
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and product pricing.
Checking invoices against passenger lists to determine validity of billings.
Traveling when required for supervision of ship turnarounds.
Other duties as required by the Manger of Shoreside Operations.
Cruise Sales Consultant
Responsible for assisting travel agents, Preferred Accounts and direct clients with all aspects related to cruise bookings for Seabourn Cruise Line, including, but not limited to, Air & Land arrangements, product information, sales promotions, and related Seabourn reservations service delivery requirements, while providing telephone cruise consultative services in a responsible, proactive, flexible, and empowered telephone call center environment. The successful candidate will also offer additional services, products and options in order to increase revenue, and assist with adhoc projects as needed. You must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable to change, willing and able to multi-task, perform well under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The team player must also possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be committed to customer satisfaction, product ad service quality, responsive to client needs, and willing to find positive solutions to customer requests on a daily basis. A minimum of one year's customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment, and a professional demeanor are required. The PC literate individual must have strong typing and excellent English written/verbal communication skills. You must also be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays; knowledge of other languages is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent work experience is also required.
Hotel Services Management - Provision & Inventory Analyst
The successful candidate will be responsible for the Purchase order maintenance, including creation and receiving purchase order, to ensure timely payments for vendors. Will prepare monthly inventory reconciliations and journal entries to submit to the Accounting Department; also the Accounts Payables Liaison responsible for the by weekly match hold reports, vendor claim and vendor statement.
