Note: Benefit amounts provided below are on a per guest basis.
Trip Cancellation: Up to Total Trip Cost (maximum $50,000 per guest): If you have to cancel your cruise for certain, specified reasons (such as an injury, illness or death affecting you, your immediate family or your traveling companion), Seabourn will refund your otherwise non-refundable Seabourn cruise and air cancellation charges.
Important added service to Seabourn’s guests purchasing the program: In the event you are denied a cash refund for your trip cancellation due to a “pre-existing condition” (as detailed below),you will instead be provided with a future Seabourn Cruise Line travel credit in the amount of your cancellation penalty. If your total trip cost is more than $50,000 per guest, you will be reimbursed $50,000 per person in cash plus a future Seabourn Cruise Line travel credit equal to the amount by which the cancellation penalties imposed exceed the $50,000 per person cash reimbursement.
Trip Interruption: Up to Total Cruise Cost (maximum $50,000 per guest): If you have to leave your cruise unexpectedly (again, for specified reasons such as illness as described above), Seabourn will refund to you the unused, non-refundable portion of your cruise payment, plus reimburse you for the cost of returning home.
Trip Delay: If you miss the departure of your cruise due to carrier-caused delays or other specified reasons, Seabourn will reimburse you up to $1,000 for additional accommodations, meals and “catch-up” transportation expenses, as well as unused land or cruise arrangements.
*For NY Residents, Section I Travel Arrangement Protection is underwritten by Virginia Surety Company, Inc. under policy # HTP04194.
If after purchasing SeabournShield, you must cancel your cruise and do not qualify for a cash refund for your trip cancellation due to a “pre-existing condition” as detailed in the Plan Description, Seabourn will instead provide you with a future travel credit in the amount of your otherwise non-refundable cancellation fees.
Baggage Protection: If your baggage or personal property is lost or damaged, the program will cover up to $3,000. If your bags are delayed or misdirected for more than 24 hours, the program will reimburse you up to $500 for the purchase of necessary personal items.
Medical Expense Coverage: Should you become injured or sick during your cruise, the program will reimburse you up to $20,000 for necessary medical expenses.
Emergency Evacuation: In the event that a serious illness or injury requires air or ground transportation to a specialized facility or to return home, the program provides up to $50,000 in covered medical services and supplies (coordinated by our 24-hour Assistance provider to help ensure your safe transport).
Note: The SeabournShield program cost is fully refundable only if you are canceling outside of Seabourn’s published penalty period. Prices are subject to change without notice. Terms, conditions and exclusions such as the Pre-Existing Condition exclusion apply. Please consult the Plan Description for further details.
