Travel by motor coach into the city of London. At the Tower Pier you will board a riverboat for a journey along the great River Thames waterway. Traveling upstream towards Westminster, enjoy fine panoramic views from the glass-enclosed riverboat en route to Waterloo Pier. Check in here for your "flight" on the London Eye—the world's highest observation wheel, offering amazing views of Britain's capital city. It was constructed piece by piece throughout Europe. As the biggest observation wheel ever designed, there was no single place it could be built. Once all the components had been made, it was assembled next to the River Thames. Each piece was barged up the river and the massive 1,900-ton structure was lifted into place in stages and then firmly anchored into Jubilee Gardens. Built as a Millennium project, the London Eye represents the turning of time, celebrating London's past and looking forward to its future. The Eye will take you on a 30-minute ride, rising 450 feet above the River Thames, in a high-tech, fully-enclosed glass capsule. Enjoy uninterrupted views from all sides, and on a clear day you can see for 25 miles-as far as Heathrow Airport and Windsor Castle.
