Qaqortoq, Greenland
|
Qaqortoq means "the white". The town was founded in 1775 and today, with more than 3,500 inhabitants, it is the largest town in South Greenland. Throughout Qaqortoq you will see examples of the unique art project 'Stone Man'. Local and Nordic sculptors have created pieces of art in chiseled granite, that can be admired all over town.
