Escape to the beautiful shores of Cumbuco Beach, located approximately 25 miles (40 km) west of Fortaleza along the scenic Sunset Road. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing coconut water before setting off on an exhilarating buggy ride across the region's famous sand dunes. This thrilling adventure offers spectacular views and plenty of excitement as you navigate the ever-shifting landscape. Following the buggy excursion, enjoy free time to relax on the beach, take a swim in the warm waters, or unwind at a local beachfront restaurant. For those looking for even more adventure, optional activities such as a traditional jangada sail, horseback riding, and ski-bunda dune slide may be available at your own expense.
Please Note:
This approximately 4-hour excursion is primarily conducted by coach and dune buggy. The drive from the pier to Cumbuco Beach takes approximately 1 hour each way. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a 50-minute buggy ride through the sand dunes, followed by approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes of free time at the beach. Buggies accommodate a maximum of two guests each. The buggy ride includes uneven terrain and can be vigorous; therefore, this excursion is not recommended for guests seeking a gentle sightseeing experience. Minimum age is 12 years. Guests should wear swimwear under their clothing and bring a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Optional beach activities and refreshments are available at additional cost.
