Often called the Venice of Brazil because of its numerous canals and waterways, Recife is a major gateway on the northeastern coast and the capital of the state of Pernambuco. This lively city is famous for its beaches, food and Afro-Brazilian culture, and is full of diversions for residents and visitors alike.
Board a motorized catamaran and cruise the Capibaribe River.
Returning to Pier, visit Casa da Cultura—a former prison converted into a handicrafts market selling local gifts and typical souvenirs – you’ll have time to stroll around and explore on your own.
Please note:
Please be sure to book your included experience in advance as space may be limited on your specific choice.
Surfaces are mostly paved. Participants must be able to get into and out of the catamaran. Catamaran is not covered, so bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Wear comfortable walking shoes. As the limited tourism infrastructure of Recife is part of the city’s charm, your guide will do his/her best to speak English but may encounter some language difficulties. We've made some updates to improve your experience.
