Port Denerau (Nadi), Fiji

The port is a developed area of resorts, shops, restaurants and tourist services adjacent to the town of Nadi on Viti Levu, Fiji’s largest island. The Marina is where boats depart for the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands groups, which also offer dramatic scenery both above and below the sea. In the town, your eye will be caught by the riotously colored Hindu Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple, hinting at Fiji’s large Hindi population. The elaborate carvings were imported from South India, along with the artisans who painted the exterior and the interior frescoes. A short drive away, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant boasts over 2,000 varieties of orchids, along with other tropical decorative plants.
