Meet Louise Penny

Louise Penny was 45 years old when her first book in the Chief Inspector Gamache series was published. Set in the fictional Quebec village of Three Pines, that book was turned down by more than 50 publishers and agents. Still Life went on to win almost every crime writing prize in North America. Since then, she has written 21 books in the series, most of which have topped bestseller lists internationally, along with a stand-alone political thriller with her friend and co-author Hillary Clinton.
