Departing from Prince Rupert, this spectacular floatplane flightseeing journey takes you from the rugged North Coast to the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains, revealing a vast, remote alpine wilderness shaped by ice and time.
As your aircraft climbs inland, the landscape transforms dramatically. Ancient glaciers drape across steep mountainsides and extend their claws into expansive valleys carved inch by inch over thousands of years. From above, brilliant turquoise meltwater lakes shimmer beneath sweeping icefields — their striking color a result of fine glacial silt suspended in the water.
The scale of this landscape is extraordinary — untouched by roads or development.
Accessible only by air, this scenery contrasts with the coastal environment, revealing glaciated high country that is a powerful and unforgettable visual experience.
Please note: Flight duration is approximately one hour. This tour can be canceled without penalty either on the day your voyage commences or up until 12 noon on Day 2 of your voyage. Cancellations thereafter are non-refundable. Guests weighing 275 lbs or more (fully clothed) pay an additional surcharge over the published fare directly to the tour operator just prior to the flight. You must provide an accurate body weight to the Shore Excursions team on board. Additionally, every guest is weighed at check-in. The tour operator endeavors to be discreet, but individual circumstances may not allow for complete privacy. The pilot alone decides if weather conditions are suitable for flightseeing. If the flight is canceled due to weather conditions, you will receive a full refund. The pilot decides where each guest sits based on weight and balance requirements; parties may be separated. Mobility devices of any kind cannot be brought onto the aircraft. Bags cannot be taken on the flight; a secure location is provided for storing personal items. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones, and selfie sticks or other extendable items are not permitted. For optimal photography and views, wear darker-colored clothing to reduce window reflections. Participants must be able to (dis)embark the aircraft unassisted. Oxygen for personal use is allowed but must be in the form of an FAA-approved portable oxygen concentrator that can be secured to the user's body. Pregnant guests beyond 36 weeks' gestation must provide a written note from a physician or registered midwife confirming they are fit for travel.
