Lava rocks, sandy beaches and upland valleys are the scenic delights of Réunion's wild south.
St Philippe is best known for its vanilla and other plant treasures, such as heart of palm. You will discover the primary forest along footpaths shrouded in perfumes, as well as applewood and ironwood plants.
With the help of your specialist guide at the Garden of Perfume & Spices, Mare Longue Forest will reveal its treasures, including spices such as cinnamon, cloves and pepper.
You'll stop for lunch at Cap Méchant. See the high falls of black lava, weathered by the ocean crashing against them. A choca forest is the green backdrop here.
The afternoon will be dedicated to visiting the Grand Brulé area, famous for its lava flows.
