This coastal cruise by speedboat takes you along the shores of Montserrat. Breathtaking vistas include a rugged coastline dotted with coastal hillside homes and picturesque bays.
Today is all about the island's volcanic devastation and the resilience of those who survived the eruption of Soufriere Hills Volcano, including interaction with a survivor of the eruption. Your guide offers insights into the geological and cultural changes brought about by that fateful day, adding depth to this experience.
Approaching the remnants of Plymouth -- the Buried City -- you may find it quite confronting, as the devastation wrought by the volcanic eruption is very clear. Rooftops peeking through layers of ash serve as a poignant reminder of the unstoppable forces of nature. Hear firsthand accounts of the eruption and its profound impact on the community and on the nation as a whole.
En route back to Little Bay, relax and enjoy a selection of refreshing beverages as you cruise along the picturesque coastline of Montserrat.
