Journey through history with a walking tour from the Plymouth Barbican to the Mayflower Museum.
The Mayflower Museum, spanning three floors, unwraps the tale of the Pilgrims and their courageous journey to the New World. Marvel at the meticulous 1:11 scale Mayflower ship model crafted by apprentices at Devon Port Royal Dockyard.
Step out onto the third-floor balcony to take in the panoramic view of the bustling Barbican — the historical port area that witnessed the Pilgrims' epic departure.
Walk through Plymouth to The Box — this is Plymouth's award-winning museum, art gallery and archive. Check out the individual galleries that showcase the city's incredible collections with thousands of natural history specimens, including a full-size replica woolly mammoth.
Enjoy some independent free time before walking back to the Barbican with your guide.
Please note: Tour requires approximately one hour of walking. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, and inclines. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
