The wild and beautiful Aysén District of Chile lies south of Chiloé and Puerto Montt. The impressive landscapes of this wet and windy region make up part of the Chilean Patagonia. The construction of the Carretera Austral Roadway now makes the area more accessible for travelers who come to this area of Chile to experience its frontier country.
What better way to see the beauty of this land at your own pace than on horseback? You’ll glimpse Patagonia the same way as the first colonists who arrived here and were astonished by the vastness of nature at its grandest.
Your excursion begins with a one-hour journey by motor coach through beautiful scenery as you follow the river along the base of a deep rocky gorge.
Your destination is a small farm where horses await your arrival. After receiving instructions and riding gear, embark on an adventure through this glorious wilderness. When the two-hour horseback ride concludes, re-board your coach for the return drive to Chacabuco and your ship.
