On a 25-minute drive to Puerto Varas, you will pass through beautiful, lush countryside dotted with weathered clapboard barns and churches, with a brief photo stop along the way.
This Seabourn Exclusive tour will introduce you to the small town of Frutillar, home to the Musical Weeks of Frutillar. This event brings many of the best musicians of the country, as well as from overseas, to this relatively small town. The increasing interest by artists who wanted to participate in this event triggered the idea of creating a theater, and now the building is finally completed. It is a grand work, built on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, with a dramatic view over the lake and towards Osorno Volcano -- a marvelous setting indeed. Frutillar itself is a charming German-style village is situated on the west side of Lake Llanquihue, South America's third-largest natural lake. The town is known for its high-quality cuisine and old German delikatessen.
Continue with a walk along the waterfront to the Teatro del Lago (the Lakeside Theater). Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome glass of champagne and a special, private, 30-minute concert. Afterwards, savor a cocktail while enjoying the view.
Return to Puerto Montt via the same route where you can return directly to the ship or visit the Angelmó fish and handicraft market on your own if you wish.
