A beautiful secret lies beneath the limestone ridge forming Cape Naturaliste. It is the Ngilgi Cave at Yallingup. First opened to the public in 1900, the cave was originally known as Yallingup Cave but was renamed after the Aboriginal legend describing the battle between a good spirit (Ngilgi) and an evil spirit (Wolgine).
Ngilgi Cave is one of Geographe Bay's star attractions. Today you will explore its hidden treasures including stunning stalactite, stalagmite and helictite formations. Uncover Ngilgi's fascinating history as you visit an interpretive area of the cave.
Traveling from underground to 400 feet above sea level, your return to Bunbury includes a visit to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse for sweeping views over Geographe Bay and the Indian Ocean.
Please note: Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes.
