Explore the history of Kodiak from the water, including Native Alaskan, Russian, military, and World War II events.
A 30-minute transfer brings you to the local marina, where you'll board a 75-foot catamaran with an experienced crew, who take pride in weaving history, local stories, and firsthand knowledge into each excursion.
Authentic storytelling, comfortable viewing options, and some great wildlife-spotting opportunities make for a once-in-a-lifetime Alaska experience. Keep an eye out for puffins, sea otters, sea lions, seals, and bald eagles in Alaska's untamed wilderness. If you're lucky, you might even catch a whale breaching in the distance.
You'll explore areas around the Star of Kodiak Cannery, Puffin Island, and the Spruce Cape Navy SEAL Training Center.
Please note: Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Bring binoculars. Cruise duration is 2-2½ hours. The catamaran may not be exclusive to Seabourn guests.
