Begin your day with ease with a pick-up for you and your luggage directly from the 1 Hotel in Copenhagen. It's a transfer to the ship with a difference, as you will see the main sights of the city en route, and pause to visit Rosenborg Castle.
In Copenhagen, royal history, modern design, and relaxed Scandinavian charm blend effortlessly in its historic streets, waterfront views, and green spaces. Pass through the historic city center on a panoramic drive. Pastel-colored townhouses line narrow streets, and bicycles outnumber cars. Highlights typically include the elegant Amalienborg Palace, home of the Danish Royal Family, the colorful harbor of Nyhavn with its cafés and sailing ships, and the iconic Little Mermaid statue overlooking the water.
A key landmark of Copenhagen is Rosenborg Castle, set within the peaceful King's Garden (Kongens Have). Built in the early 17th century as a pleasure castle for King Christian IV, Rosenborg is a superb example of Dutch Renaissance architecture. Its copper spires rise above the surrounding park, creating one of the city's most picturesque sights. Step inside and directly into Denmark's royal past. Lavishly furnished rooms display original interiors, oil paintings, tapestries, and royal regalia. View the Danish Crown Jewels, housed securely in the castle's treasury beneath the building. The Long Hall, with its coronation thrones guarded by silver lions, offers a striking insight into the power and ceremony of Denmark's monarchy.
Please note: This tour is available only to guests embarking the ship in Copenhagen; it is not available to guests arriving at the airport the morning of embarkation. The pick-up location is 1 Hotel in Copenhagen, located at Krystalgade 22, 1172 Copenhagen. The 1 Hotel is the only pick-up point for this tour; there are no additional pick-up points. If you are staying elsewhere, you are responsible for making your own way to the hotel with your luggage, at your own expense. Do not enter the hotel lobby; a representative with a Seabourn sign will be stationed curbside to assist with guest registration and luggage check. All participants must be at the meeting point at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled tour departure time, as the coach will leave on time. Tour requires approximately one hour of walking. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines, gravel, grass, and 135 steps at Rosenborg Castle.
