From the base of the Kuranda Ranges, experience the thrilling ascent from Cairns to Kuranda aboard the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. The Skyrail is among the most popular visitor activities in North Queensland and has won many eco-tourism and sustainability awards for its unique way of offering visitors views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site rainforest.
Travel high above the rainforest canopy aboard a six-passenger gondola, taking in spectacular views of the jungle below and of the surrounding region, along with the sparkling North Queensland coast out to the Coral Sea and Green Island.
The journey up the mountain includes a stop at the Rainforest Interpretive Centre and Red Peak Station, and concludes at the lovely rainforest village of Kuranda. Board a motorcoach for a ride through the village — home to a colorful, vibrant community of artists and artisans.
Continue back toward the laid-back, tropical city of Cairns. Your guide explains the area's history on your way back to the ship.
