There is no doubt that the highlights in the Canary Islands are their Local charm, crafts and gastronomy, apart from the lovely nature. Gran Canaria is the place to find excellent and fresh food products, and friendly locals.
During your walking tour you will learn a lot of history and pass by many of Las Palmas most interesting corners of the town.
Visit some typical corners, the Local food Market, the heart of the city and the best city beach in Europe.
You will enjoy a walking tour with your guide that will show you Santa Catalina, very close to the cruise terminal. Between the harbour Puerto de la Luz in the east and the Playa de las Canteras to the west, you’ll find the bustling district of Santa Catalina, The heart of this district is the big and busy Parque – which is actually more of a square dotted with palm trees and flowerbeds than a park – where a sizeable slice of Las Palmas social life takes place. Numerous restaurants, bars, shops are around: you will walk towards to las Canteras Beach, named best city beach in Europe. With a lovely 2 km long promenade full of terraces and local shops.
You will also have a refreshing stop and have the possibility of trying a Local tapa with a drink. If you wish you can decide to stay in the centre and continue for an independent exploration after the tour finishes.
