Discover one of Edinburgh’s most iconic viewpoints on this scenic walking tour to Calton Hill, part of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Depart Newhaven for a short drive to the base of the hill, then follow your guide along a gentle uphill path to the summit.
At the top, take in sweeping panoramas of Edinburgh’s historic skyline, including the Old Town, the Firth of Forth, and the dramatic peak of Arthur’s Seat. Explore landmarks such as the Nelson Monument and the National Monument, whose classical architecture adds grandeur to this celebrated vantage point. Please Note: This tour lasts approximately 2¼ hours and includes a walk of about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) on paved paths with a steady incline and some uneven surfaces near the summit. The tour is not suitable for wheelchair users. Guests should wear sturdy walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, as Calton Hill is exposed and conditions may change quickly.
