Enjoy a guided walk around jamestown as an introduction to the island, its history and its people.A local guide will meet you at the pier, where your walking tour will begin. Enter the town square through the archway.A wealth of island history is hidden behind the fortified walls, from the castle built in 1659 to St. James’ Church, the oldest Anglican Church in the Southern Hemisphere. Visit the famous Jacob’s Ladder—a staircase built in 1829 with 699 steps. Your walk takes you through the castle gardens to one of the town’s historical Georgian hotels, where refreshments of tea and coffee will be served before you finish your tour at the St. Helena Museum.
