Embark on an unforgettable nature trek designed especially for wildlife enthusiasts seeking a deeper, more intimate encounter with the Falkland Islands’ remarkable birdlife. This exclusive small-group tour follows a triangle-style route beginning with a scenic minibus transfer to beautiful Hadassa Bay, a quiet coastal area known for its sweeping landscapes and excellent bird-watching opportunities.
Upon arrival, your expert local guide will introduce you to the unique avian species of the region and provide an illustrated checklist created specifically for this tour. As you begin your trek, you’ll gain fascinating insight into the habitats, behaviors, and importance of the Falklands’ extraordinary bird population.
During your 3½-mile (5.6 km) guided walk, keep a lookout for the many species that call this rugged environment home: dark-faced ground tyrants, upland geese, Falkland thrush, black-throated finches, long-tailed meadowlarks, flightless steamer ducks, rock cormorants, southern giant petrels, sooty shearwaters, and even Magellanic penguins along the shoreline. Depending on the season and conditions, as many as 30 different species may be seen.
As you follow the coastal path, you’ll also enjoy dramatic views across the bay toward Stanley—another highlight of this invigorating outdoor experience. With fresh ocean air, peaceful surroundings, and expert commentary, this trek offers a rare and rewarding perspective on the Falklands’ natural world.
After completing the circuit, your guide will return you by minibus to the pier.
