One of the best ways to experience any destination is by air and Nuuk is no different. Today, take to the sky to soar over breathtaking landscape of this region of Greenland.
A short transfer will bring you to the airport where you will receive a safety briefing prior to boarding the helicopter. Once aboard, take to the sky and fly above the Nuuk Fjord, the second largest fjord system in the world en route to Sermitsiaq Mountain.
Once you arrive at the 3,600ft summit, your pilot will find a safe place to land so you can hop out and enjoy 30 minutes taking in the fantastic views over the fjord system. In the horizon you can also catch a glimpse of the town of Nuuk and beautiful coastline as far as the eye can see.
After your time relishing in the incredible vistas, board your helicopter for the 15 minute return flight to Nuuk and short transfer back to the pier.
Please Note: You will board either an AS350 five seater copter or Bell212 seater copter. Guests weighing 260 lbs or more will pay an additional surcharge over the published fare. Tour is non-refundable 14 days prior to the arrival date in Nuuk. Tour operates subject to meeting a minimum number of participants. Flight time and route may vary due to weather conditions. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes. The level of guide experience varies due to the remoteness of the location. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here, and you are trading breadth of experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties your guide may encounter and with any operational surprises that may crop up.
