Board a motorcoach and explore eastern Miyako Island.
Begin with a photo stop at beautiful Higashi Henna Cape, designated as a National Historic, Scenic and Natural Monument and is one of the most breathtaking spots in all of Okinawa. Take in the picture-perfect vistas and lilies that bloom in the early spring.
Next, ride on the Shigira Panorama Lift. Experience breathtaking panoramic views of the turquoise ocean as you glide through the sky on the lift.
Conclude with a stop at the Miyakojima City Traditional Crafts Center, where you will learn about traditional high-quality hemp cloth called Miyakojima Jofu.
Transfer back to the ship after your tour.
Please note: The lift operates weather conditions permitting. Suitable for guests using a wheelchair with a companion to provide assistance. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring local currency for purchases, as few stores accept credit cards. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Weather and atmospheric conditions vary; no guarantee is offered with regard to visibility or views on any particular day. Traffic can be unpredictable; your patience is greatly appreciated if a delay extends the tour duration. Tour sequence may vary. Unfamiliar accents can be challenging; feel free to ask your guide to repeat or elaborate on information, and to speak more slowly so you can fully comprehend and converse.
