Board your motorcoach and set out from historic Tinganes, the rocky peninsula of Tórshavn's harbor where the Vikings met.
Travel up to the scenic ridgetop road that runs along the southern part of Streymoy Island. It offers a great view back down to Tórshavn. In the green pastures outside of town, be on the lookout for stone cairns that marked the paths between towns in olden times, and for the woolly sheep that drift alarmingly close to the road.
Pause for photos above Nordradalur (North Valley). On clear days, a dramatic view of the island of Koltur steals the show.
Heading north, you will spot Kaldbak and Kollafjørdur Fjords and colorful coastal villages as you wind down into the valley.
The journey back to Tórshavn takes you through a 1½-mile-long tunnel and past the fjord at sea level.
Please note: Tour consists mainly of sightseeing from the transportation. Stops (if any) are brief, and participants can remain on the transportation. Participants must be able to climb a few steps unassisted to board the transportation.
