Celebrate Australia's ultra-cute endemic wildlife at the Greenough Wildlife & Bird Park. A ranger guide shares firsthand knowledge about how the park rescues, rehabilitates and releases injured and orphaned animals. You'll have a chance to feed a kangaroo or hold a snake.
The historical Greenough settlement is a snapshot of 19th-century Australia. Wander through eleven of its beautifully-restored character stone buildings — remnants of a once-thriving community of pioneers.
Enjoy a morning/afternoon snack at the café.
A fantastic and very quirky photo opportunity is the leaning trees of Greenough. Strong, salt-laden winds blowing in off the Indian Ocean have forced the trees to grow horizontally. This surreal sight has become something of an icon for this part of Australia.
Please note:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Tour does not operate on holidays.
