A 1½-hour drive through Andalusia's countryside brings you to Spain's fourth-largest city. Seville is an impressive testament to the culture and sophistication of the Iberian Peninsula.
Your walking tour begins at the walls surrounding Barrio Santa Cruz — the former domain of the Moors and Jews in the historic center of Seville. Surrounded by glorious, immaculately tended gardens, it is a respite of solitude that calms the soul.
Visit the impressive Cathedral of Seville, with its Giralda — a Moorish bell tower and Seville landmark.
Don't miss the magnificent King's palace — the Alcazar — a splendid structure in typical Moorish style. The palace is, in fact, a monument to the Moorish occupation of Spain, with incredible detail in the stonework and architecture that is simply breathtaking.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Time permitting, you will stop briefly at the Plaza de España before you return to Cádiz.
Please note: Travel time to Seville is approximately 1½ hours each way. The Alcazar is the official residence of the King of Spain when he is in Seville; it may be closed without notice, in which case a visit to Casa Pilatos will be substituted. Upon booking this tour, you must submit your passport information immediately as your booking cannot be confirmed without it. The tour is non-refundable once booked and/or once confirmed from the waitlist. A 100% cancellation fee will apply. Inside church visit(s) may not be possible if religious services are being held or if precluded by time constraints. Cameras and video are not allowed in the cathedral. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
