Please note: Tickets for any of the Alcazar tours are available on a request basis only. Bookings will initially be waitlisted until the individual Alcazar entrance ticket can be confirmed. As Alcazar entrance tickets are personalized and sold in advance, your passport information must be on file in your cruise booking when waitlisting for this tour. You must carry the same passport on the tour for entry to the Alcazar. Waitlisted bookings without associated passport information will not be confirmed as an actual booking. Please note that cancellation fees apply immediately upon waitlisting, as a waitlist request prompts us to secure your ticket. If several Alcazar tours are available for your date of call, please waitlist for only one Alcazar tour option. Should you waitlist on multiple Alcazar tours for the same date and several tickets are purchased for you, please be aware that all tickets are non-refundable.
Begin with a panoramic drive through the city of Seville, passing beautiful Colón Avenue with its typical Sevillian houses, the neo-Classical Maestranza Bullring (the largest in Spain), and the Golden Tower-a remnant of Seville's Moorish fortifications. Watch for the avenue of palm trees where most of the beautiful buildings from the Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929 are located. Maria Luisa Park is sure to impress with its unique Plaza de España, decorated with ornamental tiles representing a historic moment from each Spanish province. Your walking tour begins at Barrio Santa Cruz. It is the romantic part of town that was the domain of the Moors and Jews. It is located right in the historical center of Seville. Surrounded by glorious, immaculately tended gardens, this mystical setting offers a respite of solitude and tranquility that calms the soul. Next you will stop at the Alcazar-the palace of caliphs and kings for almost 700 years. Explore this amazing Moorish fantasy in filigree that was built in the mid-1300s. The Alcazar's floors, ceilings and walls are intricate works of art, and the Patio de las Doncellas is noted for its friezes, tiles, and stucco work. Well-manicured gardens, filled with the scent of orange blossoms and roses, contribute to the overall sense of peace and detachment from the world outside.
Please note: Due to the personalized nature of the tickets involved in this tour, once the tour booking is confirmed the tour is non-refundable
