This gentle walk is ideal for guests who prefer a flat, relatively easy route. The trail follows the coastline for just over a mile each way, offering beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding coastal landscape. During your walk, the guide will share insights into the mountain's unique geology, local legends, and the flora, fauna, and coastal environment that define the area.
Along the way, pause at a charming local farm to admire from a distance the iconic hole through Torghatten Mountain. Take photos and appreciate the mountain's impressive natural formation without a steep hike. Torghatten is part of the Trollfjell UNESCO Global Geopark and highlights the region's extraordinary geological heritage.
Return to the trailhead for a taste of traditional Troll lefse (pancake) served with a cup of coffee or tea.
Please note: Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Bring a backpack to stow any layers you shed.
