Experience the wild Atlantic from the waters of beautiful Bantry Bay with an expert local guide.
Board a powerboat and explore points of interest around the bay, visiting the lobster pots and learning about the mussel farms and scallop fishing. Resting between peninsulas in Bantry Bay, Whiddy Island enjoys a superb strategic position in one of the world's finest deep-water harbors. The island's singular location and unparalleled scenery make it an ideal spot to combine nature and history.
At Whiddy Island, sit down to a sharing bowl of freshly-cooked mussels served with homemade Irish brown bread and a glass of Guinness.
You will have a short amount of free time to explore the area.
Please note: Participants must be able to step into/out of the speedboat. The seats on the boat are bench style with no seatback. Dress warmly in layers with a wind- and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat. Not suitable for guests with back or neck conditions. Maximum of 4 guests per boat. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Terrain is uneven with rough surfaces and loose stones and gravel. Walking is at guests' discretion.
