Immerse yourself in the warm waters of the GeoSea Baths -- a genuine wellness wonder. For centuries, the geothermal heat north of Húsavík has been used by the residents for bathing and washing.
Drilling for hot water at Húsavíkurhöfði in the mid-20th century revealed hot sea water, too rich in minerals for heating houses but perfect for soothing the body and mind.
Relax in the warm water and enjoy views of the mountain range to the west, Skjálfandi Bay beneath the cliffs, and the Arctic Circle on the horizon.
Please note: Bring your swimsuit and a towel. There are separate locker/changing rooms for men and women. Participants are required to take a shower and wash thoroughly before entering the baths. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided.
