Ulvik, rich in tradition, is one of the villages in Norway where tourism has been a permanent fixture of daily life for more than 150 years. Ulvik is especially famous for the blossoming of many thousands of fruit trees in the month of May. You will drive through the village before continuing along Osafjord to the small Osa Farmstead, six miles from Ulvik. Osa features lush vegetation and is surrounded by steep mountainsides. A winding road, built in connection with the construction of a large dam for the Sima Power Plant, takes you from sea level up to 4,100 feet in elevation within 15 minutes, passing through spectacular, wild mountain scenery. After time to enjoy the views and the dramatic landscape, you will return to Ulvik.
