From the comfort of your motorcoach your local expert guide will point out the sights and share an insightful look into the local culture, flora and fauna that make up this beautiful city on Vancouver Island, one of the top islands in the Continental US and Canada.
After a brief introduction to Victoria, you will take the island highway and embark on a journey through picturesque Goldstream Provincial Park, which lies amid the absolute splendor of an old-growth temperate rain forest. Climbing the scenic Malahat Mountain drive, at 1,156 feet, you will arrive at one of Vancouver Island’s finest attractions, tucked away in a dense forest of Arbutus and Douglas Fir.
At the Malahat Skywalk you will have a 90-minute sensorial adventure. Explore at your own pace this ten-story towering structure on Malahat Mountain, which to this day remains one of the most sacred sites on southern Vancouver Island, high above the Salish Sea. A 32-meter-high Spiral Tower displaying exquisite local craftsmanship is made accessible by a 600-meter TreeWalk, mindfully designed in harmony with the forest. The Spiral Tower lookout offers spectacular views spread across the Saanich Inlet, the Saanich Peninsula, islands, and distant Mount Baker in Washington State. Be sure to make stops as you climb and descend the path and indulge in personal moments of forest bathing, allowing nature to speak to you and serenity to be your guide. You have the option coming down from the tower to ride the 20-meter spiral slide back to ground level. A box lunch will be provided to enjoy during your visit.
