Enjoy a glimpse into Spanish country life. The coach leaves Puerto Banus behind, as it begins the ascent to an elevation of 1,500 feet.
Your destination, Mijas, is a classical Malaguenan village, complete with strong accents of Andalusian flavor and wonderful views of the coast. On a clear day, you can see across to Morocco and Gibraltar. Enjoy a walking tour through the cobblestone streets, passing the charming, whitewashed houses that are typical of this picturesque village. Of special interest is the unique square bullring dating back to Moorish times, and a charming chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Rocks, hewn out of the hillside.
Our next stop will be the Contemporary Art Center of Mijas, a venue featuring the works of great artists including that of legendary Pablo Picasso. Explore a private collection that holds 400 original masterpieces, some of Picasso’s great works and the world’s second-largest collection of Picasso ceramics alongside world-renowned artists such as cubist George Braque, Japanese Fouijita, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró.
Following your visit, enjoy a scenic drive back to the pier.
Please note: Tour requires walking on cobblestones and other uneven surfaces and is therefore not recommended for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
