Enjoy a panoramic drive through some of Scotland's most iconic countryside, traversing the ruggedly beautiful coast of the Isle of Mull. Following winding country lanes, this delightful scenic route offers an overview of the island's contrasting scenery, encompassing both land- and seascapes.
In pretty Dervaig, pause for photographs. This typical village, situated alongside Loch Chumhainn, boasts an unusual conical church spire, and the village epitomizes Highland architecture, ranging from squat stone cottages to corrugated iron outbuildings.
At the coast, pass attractive hamlets and white-sand beaches, some of which may be recognisable from the TV series Coast and Springwatch. Catch a glimpse of the islands of Coll and Tiree in the distance.
You'll pause at Calgary to see the haunting ruins of an Iron Age settlement and its fort.
Don't miss the amazing shelly beach on Calgary Bay — one of the most photographed places on the Isle of Mull. Wander along the beach before returning to Tobermory on a southern route via Achnacraig.
