Tiiu Lukk

Tiiu Lukk has served as a conversationalist and naturalist on land and on the sea, for almost 30 years and has traveled to 127 countries in the process. 
 

Tiiu’s beautifully illustrated keynote presentations focus on the natural history, wildlife, history, culture, art, and architecture of destinations. She brings the eye of a documentary filmmaker, the insatiable curiosity of a journalist, and the appreciation and curiosity of a naturalist and explorer to all her presentations and commentary.
 

Her career has encompassed work as a journalist, a foreign correspondent in southern Africa for ABC News and the Washington Star, a documentary filmmaker, and an author.  Her PBS film "Trobriand Cricket" won an Emmy Award and her travel writing has been published in the Washington Post and the Dallas Morning News.  Tiiu has a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and an M.S. degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
