The SBN South Georgia Experience (Day 1)

South Georgia Island is one of the least visited natural places on earth, a vestige of a lost Eden where birds and animals behave in ways largely unaffected by any human presence. During your two-day stay, your Captain and Expedition Leader will assess the prevailing weather ice and wildlife conditions to provide you the best possible experiences of this rarely visited destination. Highlights will likely include a visit to the former whaling station at Grytvikken, as well as wildlife viewing ashore of the vast breeding colonies of various penguin species, albatrosses and other seabirds and mammals including fur seals and elephant seals.
