DAY ONE In Chile’s handsome capital, check into the W Hotel Santiago. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city’s colonial heritage and Chile’s celebrated wine and culinary scene.

DAY TWO Fly to Punta Arenas, the staging location for the Antarctic portion of your adventure. Check into Hotel Cabo de Hornos, situated on the city’s central square. Attend a mandatory safety and logistics briefing, get acquainted with your expedition companions and later explore the city.

DAY THREE - EIGHT Weather permitting, board a private jet for a flight of just over four hours to Antarctica. Land on the ice runway atop Union Glacier, step onto the Antarctic continent and settle into the comfortable camp facilities for a 6 night stay. Included in your stay are expeditions to Elephant’s Head, Drake Icefall, Hidden Valley or the beach at Rossman Cove. Ride to the Heritage Range ridges in a polar vehicle, hike or cross country ski. Depending on weather, board a ski-plane and head for the Pole, landing near the South Pole marker and join the select cadre of explorers who have ever stood there.

DAY NINE Depending on weather, you may relax and explore the beautiful Union Glacier area for another day. OR: If the weather permits, your plane will arrive to ferry you back to Punta Arenas and the Cabo de Hornos Hotel.

THE NEXT ONE OR TWO DAYS, depending on your arrival from Antarctica, are a contingency option based in Punta Arenas. Located on the Strait of Magellan, it is one of the southernmost cities on earth, surrounded by fascinating Patagonian pampas, the Andes range, and varied wildlife.
