The perfect blend of adventure and eco-tourism awaits you on this fantastic outing on the Dumbea River, which meanders through the surrounding mineral-rich hills. Eucalyptus forests and indigenous flora contrast with the predominantly red soil and deep green hues of the river.
Meet your guide beside the cool, pristine, flowing river for a short introduction to the art of kayaking.
Once afloat, you'll bask in the tranquility of the river setting, with only the swish of paddles and the sound of the river to contemplate. Journey through one of the prettiest valleys in New Caledonia with time allowed for a swim before you turn back downstream.
Please note: Close-toed shoes are mandatory. Do not bring valuables with you on this tour; leave them in a secure place on the ship. Participants must be able to swim. Minimum age is 8 years. The kayaks are self-bailing; some water may pool at the bottom as you paddle. Wear clothing suited to the weather conditions. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, a cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. There are no changing facilities at the river. Suitable only for those in good physical condition. Climbing into the kayak via a big step is required. Bring a small waterproof pack for your device. The kayaking portion of this tour is approximately 1.5 hours long.
