Travel insurance benefits are underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company.
If your trip cost exceeds the per guest limit specified in your plan documents and you cancel your cruise vacation due to a covered reason, you will be provided a future travel credit equal to the amount by which the cancellation fees imposed exceed the per guest cash reimbursement limit. In addition, if your Trip Cancellation claim is denied due to a Pre-Existing Condition, Seabourn will provide you with a future travel credit equal to the cancellation fee amount. This non-insurance feature is provided by Seabourn Cruise Line.
— provides 24-hour assistance services including pre-cruise health, safety, and weather information; assistance with travel changes; lost luggage assistance; emergency cash transfer assistance; emergency medical and dental assistance and lost travel document assistance. Non-insurance assistance services are provided by CareFree Travel Assistance ™.
The Travel Insurance portion of SeabournShield provides insurance coverage that applies only during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this insurance coverage with your existing life, health, home, and automobile policies. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer, insurance agent or broker.
Note that the benefits and services provided by SeabournShield are available only to guests who enroll in and pay the appropriate program cost to Seabourn. Payment of the required cruise deposit does not automatically activate enrollment in SeabournShield. To activate enrollment, you must pay the appropriate program cost in addition to the required cruise deposit.

Q: If I have a heart condition and am on continuing medication, am I protected if my heart condition flares up during my vacation?
A: Yes! SeabournShield provides reimbursement for conditions that are stable during the 60-days prior to purchase, so if you have had no changes in your health (even if you are on continuous unchanged medication), you would be protected.
Q: What if my condition did change in the 60 days prior to purchasing SeabournShield?
A: Rest assured, if you need to cancel your cruise vacation and do not qualify for cash reimbursement due to the pre-existing condition exclusion, you will have the benefit of a future cruise credit from Seabourn equal to the amount of the cancellation fees.
Note: In the circumstances above, refunds based on cruise fare are limited to $50,000 per person ($125,000 per person for World & Grand Voyages, and Expedition Cruises that depart December 1,2024, and after). Any excess amount will be in the form of a credit to use on a future cruise.
