Featured Optional Experiences

Available in: Antarctica; South Georgia & The Falklands; Northwest Passage; Arctic; South Pacific

Optional Expedition: Submarines

Venture below the surface with optional submarine experiences; explore diverse marine life in the South Pacific, or discover the icy ocean of Antarctica and the Arctic regions. Each expedition ship carries two 6-seat submarines.

Optional Expedition: Submarines

Onboard both Expedition ships, we will have eight double kayaks and two six-seat submersibles.

Kayak tours are approximately 90 minutes in length and submersible dives are approximately 40 to 45 minutes. Seabourn provides all the necessary equipment to participate in either activity. Both activities are optional and for charge.

Because these activities do not have a set date of departure due to the flexible nature of expedition landing experiences, when searching online, these bookings populate on Day 1 of the voyage and limit capacity for throughout a voyage. As a result, not all guests will be able to kayak or go on a submersible dive on every sailing. There are also a number of itineraries where we cannot use the kayaks and subs. This is being reflected in the day-by-day itineraries on our website and with icons throughout our marketing and communications.
