Here's a one-of-a-kind encounter — joining the morning milking session on a camel farm.
Learn all about how to milk a camel, watching as the camels are gently milked; then, you'll have a chance to hand-feed the adorable babies. Enjoy a taste of fresh camel milk and treat yourself to a camel milk gelato, milkshakes, or coffee (at your own expense).
Next, head to Cape Jaffa Wines for a relaxed and informative wine-tasting experience. Sample four carefully selected wines — both red and white — guided by the enthusiastic winemaker. Learn the story behind each vintage, and your tasting is followed by a grazing-style (charcuterie board) lunch, paired with a glass of your favourite wine from the earlier tasting.
In the afternoon, enjoy a fascinating visit to Transmutation — an eco-conscious business turning waste into beautiful products. Take a guided tour of the workshop and retail space with the owner/maker, watch a short video presentation, and take home a small bread tag bowl — a meaningful souvenir of sustainability in action.
Finally, unwind at the Robe Town Brewery — a rustic and sustainable wood-fired brewery. Join the head brewer for a behind-the-scenes tour of this low-tech brewing operation, and finish with a tasting paddle of four handcrafted beers, each brewed with a fun local twist.
Please note:
Tour sequence may vary. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
