Transfer by coach to Tetouan, where you'll visit the School of Traditional Arts & Crafts. The first of its kind in Morocco, this institution keeps traditional art forms such as embroidery, cuisine, zullayj (mosaics), and carvings.
Walk with your guide through the medina -- a traditional-style walled marketplace that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You'll arrive at the Royal Palace, a 17th-century complex exemplifying Hispano-Moorish architecture. Although the palace is closed to the public, standing outside its ornate main gate and looking in gives you a good impression of what lies beyond. Snap some photos here.
Hassan II Square is where the historic and modern parts of the city converge to create a vibrant hub.
Re-energize with lunch in the heart of Tetouan -- a delicious meal of local cuisine.
Return to Tangier and walk to the American Legation Museum, which documents the history of the relationship between the United States and Morocco. Among several displays, there is a letter from George Washington to Moulay Abdellah.
Your guide leads you through Tangier's medina (Old Town) en route to St Andrew's Church, where, oddly, the Lord's Prayer is inscribed in Arabic around the chancel arch.
Return to the ship after visiting two very impressive Moroccan cities.
Please note:
