Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of one of Sweden’s most picturesque river valleys as you set out along the Götaleden trail through Säveåns Nature Reserve. Known as one of the country’s most beautiful river dales, this tranquil hike invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and take in the lush scenery that surrounds you.
After a short introduction from your guide, begin your gentle walk along well-maintained paths, passing through a peaceful landscape of dense forest, shimmering water, and bird song. The route is easy and accessible, with a few well-built staircases adding a touch of variety to the terrain.
Your hike concludes at The Tannery Club in Floda, a riverside activity center that blends Scandinavian design with a spirit of adventure. Here, enjoy a guided look at their unique facilities—from the inviting lounge and sauna to the scenic glamping area and handmade climbing wall, Rock on Wood. Pause for a traditional Swedish “fika,” complete with coffee and a sweet treat, before returning to Gothenburg refreshed and inspired.
