Discover the city of Karlskrona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a living history book encompassing 300 years of naval heritage.
Begin with a drive up to the Bryggareberget Viewpoint for a great view of the city skyline, including Stumholmen Island, the Good Night Canon Tower, and the famous old mast crane.
A panoramic drive past the old fish market leads to Björkholmen — the oldest civilian part of Karlskrona, known for its 17th-century cottages.
A short drive past the Stortorget (the main square) showcases the neo–Classical Town Hall, the Baroque Frederiks Church, and the round Holy Trinity Church, built for the town's German community. Enjoy some free time in the city center.
Travel to the island of Stumholmen — home to the Naval Museum, the Crown Jail, the Kungshall Bastion, and many other interesting features from its Naval base past. Your panoramic drive continues, via the Old Clock Tower and the main entrance of the Naval base, to Kungsbron and the well-known Admiralty Church, built in 1685. This is the largest timber church in Sweden. Watch for the legendary figure of Old Rosenbom, his outstretched arm begging for alms.
Your tour concludes back at the pier.
