This guided half-day fjord cruise blends breathtaking Arctic scenery with authentic local experiences.
Experience Tromsø's stunning fjords aboard a purpose-built hybrid electric catamaran, sailing past panoramic city views, quiet islands, and historic sites, including a former Cold War submarine base hidden within the mountains.
You'll glide silently into peaceful fjords and revel in the Arctic scenery.
Leave the boat at a traditional fishing station, whose small museum expounds on Northern Norway's fishing heritage. Learn about cod fishing and stockfish production, and enjoy a local tasting.
Back on the catamaran, the crew deploys an underwater drone, streaming live footage of the fascinating ecosystems beneath the surface to the boat's screens.
Your knowledgeable guide shares stories of World War II, coastal life, and the landscapes that have shaped the region, making this a memorable and immersive way to experience Tromsø from the water.
Afterward, your guide will walk you back to the ship.
Please note: Tour requires a 5-10 minute walk each way from the ship to the catamaran. Terrain includes steps and a marine ramp from the pier to the boat, which can be very steep at low tide. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Live footage from the underwater drone is weather-dependent and therefore is not guaranteed. The stop at Rya Island to visit the fishing Station is also weather-dependent and therefore not guaranteed. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf.
