Depart the pier and travel to Jeju Stone Park, a cultural and ecological park dedicated to the island’s unique stone heritage. Opened in 2006 as part of a long-term development project, the park presents the significance of stone in Jeju’s history and daily life. Set near one of Jeju’s characteristic volcanic hills, known as oreum, the park features forest trails, outdoor stone exhibits, and displays that introduce traditional elements of Jeju culture. Visitors can see various stone sculptures and cultural symbols that reflect the island’s long-standing relationship with volcanic stone.
Continue to Dongmun Traditional Market, the largest and one of the most historic permanent markets on Jeju Island. Located in downtown Jeju City, the market has long been a gathering place for both locals and visitors. Here you can explore a lively selection of shops selling local specialties, souvenirs, clothing, and a wide variety of foods. With numerous entrances and bustling alleys, Dongmun Market offers an authentic glimpse into everyday life on the island.
Please note: The order of the tour may vary. A considerable amount of walking is expected at Jeju Stone Park; comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
