Here's a comprehensive tour that combines sightseeing of Perth and Fremantle with wine tasting, lunch and a river cruise.
Admire sleek, modern buildings and soaring skyscrapers as you drive through Perth. Stretch your legs on a brief stop at Kings Park to photograph the spectacular view overlooking the city and Swan River.
Travel through the eastern suburbs to the Swan Valley -- a heritage area renowned for its historic houses and superb wineries.
Sandalford Wines invites you to participate in a wine tasting. Your guide talks you through the wine-making process, and you'll even try wine straight from the oak barrel. An Australian lunch is served at a local restaurant.
On returning to Perth, board a riverboat for a leisurely cruise down the Swan River to Fremantle. Sit back and watch the passing scenery glide by as you listen to the live commentary.
Reboard your coach for a brief introduction to Fremantle. You'll travel along the Esplanade to see the quaint terraced houses, ornate historic buildings and sidewalk cafés. Drive past the old Round House at Arthur's Head -- a twelve-sided jail -- and the Maritime Museum, a grand cluster of stone buildings, before returning to the ship.
Please note:
Minimum age is 18 years. Minimum age to drink alcohol is 18 years, with a companion aged 21 years or older. Restrooms on the riverboat are accessed via a flight of steps. The riverboat is not wheelchair accessible. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Tour does not operate on Mondays or Fridays.
