Hop into a Zodiac and join the Expedition team ashore to explore the far reaches of Dundas Harbour. All that remains of the Hudson Bay Company outpost, settled here in 1934 and abandoned just thirteen years later, are the former RCMP station and one of Canada's northernmost cemeteries. Long before then, the Thule people, ancestors of the modern Inuit, built shelters here; look for their cornerstones embedded in the tundra. The Expedition team will be on the lookout for Arctic wildlife and will interpret the numerous tiny plants that thrive in this harsh environment.
Please note: Included Expeditions cannot be booked in advance. The ship's Expedition team will communicate finalized content and departure information. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
