Join the Expedition team for a Zodiac landing in Arnafjörður — a long fjord that branches in many directions. As you come ashore, keep an eye out for eider ducks and their ducklings hiding in the kelp beds along the shoreline.
With a vertical drop of 330 feet (100 m), Dynjandi is the Westfjords' tallest cascade. From the base, climb the path that ascends several levels of the falls. Mist settles on your clothing like a mantle of peace -- a quiet gift from the falls whose name means "thunderous."
Arctic terns lay their eggs in the tall grasses around you. Wheeling overhead, they eye their nests protectively.
